If you don't know me, you wouldn't know that I work a full-time (over full time) job while trying to keep up with blogging. Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining but there has to be balance. In the past year, I started to notice that I was constantly hustling and not giving my health, mental and physical any thought. 2019 is the year of self-care. It's time to put yourself first, and the rest will follow. Here are my easy self-care activities to refresh and regroup.
Take a bath. Yeah, I'm a bath person, don't knock it till you try it. A nice hot tub and a book always puts me in a good mood.
Face Mask there are endless options for every skin type. Your skin will thank you. Here are my favs!
Read a book. There’s nothing like reading a good book! I'm big on fiction right now; it's great to immerse yourself in a good book and put aside the real work for a minute.
Exercise. When in doubt, sweat it out! You will feel better physically and mentally after getting your body moving.
Eat healthier. Eat good feel good treat your body to what it needs.
Listen to a podcast. There are so many motivation and self-help podcasts out there that can help you refocus your life.
Try out a new recipe. Cooking and baking can be very therapeutic and who cares if it doesn't turn out!
Digital detox. Social media can be toxic and overwhelming at time. Taking a break is good.
Take a nap. If you’re tired, don’t fight it or increase your caffeine intake. It will make a substantial difference, and your body will thank you.
Go for a walk. Sometimes you need a breath of fresh air. My favorite self-care tip for working folks go for a walk to clear our your mind!
Spend time with your closest friends and family. Surround yourself with the people you love.
