I'm seriously hoping that the rest of the world is starting to feel a lot more like spring. I say this knowing that I live in southern California where our two seasons are summer and spring.
Warmer weather = SMOOTHIES
Smoothies are my favorite way to get in the 'right' amount of nutrients each day. Don't make the same mistake I did by researching the 'right' amount of greens your supposed to be eating a day or you'll end up eating 5 bags of spinach. If you're not feeling like that's your cup of tea try out some of my favorite smoothies all of which are friend, husband, and child approved.
Tropical – banana, frozen mango, frozen pineapple, cream of coconut, coconut or almond milk
Green Machine – spinach, kale, banana, frozen strawberries, mango, pineapple
For each of these smoothies, you can add water and/or crushed ice before blending to change the consistency/texture. You can also add things like almonds, chia seeds, and flax seeds for added health benefits.
If you're really lacking in the green department you can add spinach to any of these without changing the over all flavor - unless that's your thing and you just love greens, then you go spinach queen!
